Favorite JR Book

Clever plot, well-written, constant suspense. Just the right amount of ridiculous Jack Reacher action, although a few times I wondered how he was going to get himself out of those situations. The rip-tide scene is harrowing and is made truly suspenseful by the incomparable Dick Hill. I ran fourteen miles instead of six listening to this. Great movie material.

A lot of set-up

It takes a long time to get to the heart of the problem and then the excitement and pace pick up. But it seems to stall. The reader knows what's coming, but the conclusion is somehow unsatisfying. Dick Hill narrates a very tense and energized story. overall a good listen but not one of my favorites.

classic Reacher

Jack Reacher has the opportunity to rescue a captured female undercover agent. He goes undercover himself surrounded by dangerous people. Meanwhile, this novel flashes back to ten years before, when Reacher made a decision that cost the life of another young female agent. Reacher is determined to make up for that mistake, and seek revenge. This is vintage Jack Reacher. Great story, great writing, and of course a great main character. Plus Dick Hill is the perfect narrator for Reacher.

My favorite series

Not my first time through this series but it’s been a few years and I’m so glad I decided to go back through it. Jack always finds a way to win and I love it. There are always the small shake your head details where you think ok why wouldn’t he do this or why isn’t he noticing that. But all and all I binge through each book in about a day. Which basically means all day. I can’t wait to start the next when one ends.

the narrator was amazing! please continue with a dick Hill! he is a perfect voice for Reacher, no one else will do!

Occasionally clipped audio

Not sure if it was my device or not but the audio was clipped at the beginning of probably 50 sentences. Almost as if there was a limiter on it when it was recorded. Other than that, I loved every word!

Good Reacher story

Plot moves along at a good pace. Good character development as the story unfolds. Dick Hill is one of the best Audible narrators. Highly recommended.

Too long, too good hero

A long story filled with platitudes. Too good a hero not realistic. Needs to change his same old strut

Interesting story

I love Dick Hill’s narration; he is Reacher! The story was fine; a bit gruesome in parts.
