These stories have a lot in common with each other as far as the knights: courageous and honorable men with lovers, fights between kingdom's told in an entertaining way. The Shahnameh was cut down for the sake of brevity but the essentials are still there. This is a crash course on some of the best aspects of Persian and Caucuses mythology.
