Some people get meet-cutes. I get a meet-crash.
When Vincent Forde rear-ends my car, I expect an apology—instead he tosses me a scowl that could melt steel and acts like I’m the problem.
Charming, right?
With his designer suit, smoldering glare, and ego the size of his bank account, Vincent is the very definition of an entitled bosshole.
I figure that’s the last I’ll ever see of Mr. Too-Rich-and-Ridiculously-Handsome.
Except life loves a good punchline.
Guess who struts into my brother’s engagement party like he owns the place?
Yeah, it’s Mr. I’m-Too-Sexy-To-Drive-Properly, lounging by the bar like he’s posing for GQ.
I think I hate him.
Only now, there’s something he wants from me.
There’s a rare perfume ingredient he desperately needs for his fragrance empire.
And Lord of the Scowl is willing to pay me ridiculous money to help get it.
Oh and he also wants me to pretend to be his girlfriend.
As if there’s anything remotely boyfriend-material about him.
Vincent might be the king of the scowl and a walking ego trip, but he’s offering me a deal I can’t refuse.
Even if it means pretending to like the guy who drives me insane.
The more we fake it, though, the more the line between acting and real starts to blur. His charm is aggravating. His confidence is infuriating. His smile is entirely too distracting.
This wasn’t part of the plan. I’m supposed to hate him, not want him. But pretending to be his perfect match is starting to feel all too real...
Perfect (Mis)Match is a sizzling enemies-to-lovers romance packed with sharp banter, fiery chemistry, and all your favorite tropes: billionaire bosshole, fake relationship, and brother’s best friend. With a grumpy, guarded hero and a heroine who’s more than ready to knock him down a peg, get ready for the perfect storm of wit, tension, and heart-stopping twists.

off with a fake relationship but things do
have a habit of changing and boy how they
change.
At times I was laughing out loud.
Great chemistry between the characters that
had quite a bit of heat to it.
The two narrator did a great job of bringing the book
to life.

Spice - 🌶🌶
Narration - ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Perfect (Mis)Match is book #1 in the new series Manhattan Bossholes. This story has so many different aspects that I love...grumpy/sunshine, fake engagement, forced proximity, brother's best friend...all rolled up into a spicy little package. Piper needs a business connection for her start-up. Vincent needs a barrier from his ex AND help with a business partnership. These two literally crash into each other and find they can be mutually beneficial to each other. But when this business deal engagement becomes VERY real, Piper and Vincent navigate lots of obstacles (her guarded heart, his disbelief of lasting relationships) in this heartwarming, humorous, and steamy gem! I can't wait for the rest of the series!!
The narration was absolutely fantastic! Christopher Ashman and Abigail Reno are both new narrators to me and I was blown away by their performance. I will definitely be adding them to my "find more by these two" list. 5/5 stars!!
This series is going to be amazing!

Vincent and Piper meet when there is an accident in the parking garage, that leads to an altercation which was enjoyable because Piper wouldn't bow down to the grumpy billionaire who is used to getting his way. Then it leads to them being at the same engagement party, which leads to them pretending they're in a relationship. Which leads to them working together. I love the bantering and how Piper isn't afraid of Vincent and stands up to him.
Vincent comes off arrogant as he first tries to get Piper to claim she was the one responsible for the parking garage altercation. I liked their story and the characters Vincent's boys from college as they are known as the lost boys who I believe this series is based on and can't wait to read their story.
Love it

Vincent and Piper don’t exactly hit it off right away—things are awkward, messy, and at times hilariously frustrating. But honestly? That’s what made it so good. Watching them go from totally (mis)matched to made for each other was such a satisfying ride. The buildup was perfect—not rushed, not drawn out, just perfectly paced. By the time they started to actually figure it out, I was completely invested.
The narration was spot on. Both the male and female narrators brought Vincent and Piper to life. They added depth to the characters and made the emotional moments hit just right. It felt like listening to a movie, in the best way.
Since this is the first in the series, I’m definitely planning to jump into the next one. Book 1 gave me just enough closure to feel satisfied, but also left me wanting more—exactly how a series should start.
Highly recommend if you’re in the mood for a romance that takes its time, makes you laugh, and leaves you smiling. 💖

The narrators Abigail Reno and Christopher Ashman did a good job telling this story. Their voices were entertaining and held my attention.
Vincent and Piper meet in a parking garage when Vincent backs into her. Or as he says she backed into him! LOL These two have a lot of banter between them and that was really fun! These two then learn they each need something and they can help each other get it if they pretend to date each other. Of course when fake dating happens we all know they will start having fun being together and one things leads to another. LOL
I did enjoy these characters. The story had me laughing, swooning, smiling, and left me with a good ending. I'm excited to see what book 2 brings. If you want a fun enemies to lovers audiobook then I would recommend this one.
