well built story

This piece had very strong plotting, good characters with interesting dimensions and relationships, and some good thematic ideas that could help build a successful series. The plot was developed well enough to have more than one dimension without being unnecessarily repetitious.

I can't say I'm particularly thrilled with the virtual voice presentation. There were some oddities of pronunciation and also a rather strange although in frequent tendency to repeat stock phrases. The voice on the virtual voice was well modulated but it lacked the kind of inflection that one hears in human reading or speaking.

in spite of my feelings about the virtual voice, I fully intend to read some more of this series.
