Children with ADHD
Children with ADHD were a task I found difficult as a school bus driver. In this audiobook, the author shares her experience as a teacher when she was young. Of course, dealing with a child with ADHD took me time to figure out how I plan to assist them. School is a place of learning; we all need to take the opportunity to learn as much as possible. The real-world examples and the action tips gave me a clear picture of finding ways to teach your children with confidence and stress-free.

This audiobook has really helped me better understand the ADHD brain and approach daily challenges in a more calm, thoughtful way. The strategies are clear and realistic, focused on building structure, consistency, and confidence through predictable and purposeful routines. I especially appreciated how it emphasizes a child’s strengths and gives tools to manage meltdowns and stressful moments with empathy. It’s made our home feel more balanced, and I feel more prepared to support my child in a way that truly helps them thrive.

Supportive Advice
I was very reassuring and easy to follow. It offered real strategies that made sense for both home and school settings. I liked that it focused not just on the challenges, but also on recognizing and building on my child’s strengths. The tone was calm and encouraging, which helped me feel less overwhelmed.

A lifeline for parents of kids with adhd
This book made me feel seen and supported as a parent. Kay Degras doesn’t just explain what ADHD is—she gives you real tools that actually fit into daily life. The 4P Framework (Predictable, Positive, Proactive, Purposeful) was a game-changer for creating more structure without turning my home into a battleground. I especially appreciated the tips on managing emotional meltdowns with empathy rather than frustration. The tone throughout is compassionate but never condescending, and the real-life examples made it easy to apply the strategies right away. If you’re feeling overwhelmed and want practical steps to help your child thrive both at home and in school, this book is a must-have.
