Acerca de esta escucha

Do you like true stories of the Wild West? You should love these tales of outlaws and gunslingers then Of course you will have heard of most of them as many have become infamous legends. Some are not so quite well known however, but they were all dangerous and ruthless criminals and all had their "15 minutes of fame", leaving trails of death and mayhem behind them. Most did not live to an old age, and those that did were probably in jail. Their escapades were daring and reckless and many paid the ultimate price in the end. These tales romp along with plenty of action and recreate the atmosphere of this exciting and dangerous era in America's history using the vernacular of the times. These short stories are intended to move rapidly with fast talking characters, plenty of action and fun to read. Whilst the events that took place are primarily true, the author has used a certain amount of creative license regarding what may, or may not, have been spoken by the characters to add flavor to the stories. Volume 1: • Bob Ford - The Killer of Jesse James Infamous for the cowardly killing of Jesse James, Bob Ford lived a life of drinking and bragging ofhow he assasinated Jesse to all who'd listen, before ultimately meeting his own violent death. • Black Bart - The notorious stagecoach robber who never fired a shot The story of Black Bart, the terror and poet of the west. He robbed the rich to feed the poor, which hardly is a sin, And poems also did he write before he were put in • Butch Cassidy - Leader of the Wild Bunch A charismatic thief who elevated bank and train robbery into an art form, he and his partner, The Sundance Kid, eluded polce by going to South America to continue their crimnal activities there, but it was only a mtter of time before destiny eventually caught up with them. • Billy the Kid - Teenage outlaw and baby faced killer Born William Henry McCarty Jr. in New York City, Billy the Kid was also known as Henry Antrim and William H. Bonney during his short life. Slim, sandy blond hair and blue eyes he could be charming one minute and in a vioent rage the next. Legend has it that he killed 21 men, one for each year of his life, though this is almost certainly an exaggeration. • John Wesley Hardin - Quick to anger and quicker to kill One of the most notorious and bloodiest gunfighters to come out of the Old West. The lethal combination of his uncontrollable temper, a quick draw and the prodigious amounts of alcohol he regularly consumed resulted in the deaths of the many men who got in his way. It's thought he killed at least 20 men, and some have suggested the total may have been as high as 40. Order your copy today!
