Beneath the storm clouds of a deadly war, three men are poised to unlock the secrets to redeem the world.

The setting is Poland 1939, Germans are marching toward Warsaw running their armor, and devastating swarms of armed soldiers, along with their cavalry. Fighting against the Nazi military machine is a death wish realized all too clearly.

The path of the invaders is paved with death, destructions, pillage, and woman brutalized at the hands of soldiers with no honor. As much as the citizens of Poland pray for a different outcome, everything they have known, loved, and grown up with is devastated.

Three young men are tasked with finding and extracting the German military communications device, Baby, that is kept under heavy guard. Polish patriots die to aid the three in getting the information and then fleeing with the prize. The race is on as the Germans try to match wits with the clever patriots who risk detection at every turn.

The Ambassador Ferdek Watcowski, insists that his son Ferdek along with Wolfgang and Tavius, take their families and flee while there is still time to reach a border. The goal of their journey is to escape with Baby intact.

Poland’s military is so outclassed by Hitler’s forces that survival is key to fighting another day. Facing great peril and odds against their survival, the men resolve to make a difference so that those who died helping them would not have sacrificed in vain. They vow to undertake a lifetime of fighting tyranny.

Successful survivors must look ahead.

Outstanding Beginning - Action Packed

Three men are tasked with securing a German device that will provide the allies with the tools needed to win the war. With Germans invading Poland in 1939, it is imperative that the three men (Ferdek, Wolfgang, and Tavius) find that device and get it across the border. Hitler’s soldiers are stronger and their numbers greater thus ensuring Poland’s defeat.

Thus, we are witnesses to the birth of the R-Group. Charles Breakfield and Rox Burkey, the authors, give their listeners a brief look into the origin, personalities, and reasoning of the founders of the R-Group. A novella but clear and concise and flows consistently with the series. The book is action-packed and has richly vivid dialog.

As usual, Derek Shoales gives an excellent performance. Shoales' voices are consistent with the series. His voices are unique and clear. Shoales moves the story along at a pace that is invigorating. I enjoy listening to Derek Shoales' performances.

This book can be enjoyed at any point in the series. For me, however, I enjoyed hearing it later in the series as it gave me a greater appreciation of Wolfgang and the R-Group. If you enjoy the Enigma series, or thriller mysteries with a techno piece then this is the series and authors for you!

This story is timely and timeless

This is a suspenseful story about the German’s Enigma machine. It is a prequel to their Enigma Series. It is a well written and well told story that comes alive in the characters and the ordeal we can all relate to. Especially with what is going on in the world today. I highly recommend it to anyone who like thrills.

A book with a lot of action, Charles Breakfield and Roxanne Burkey take us into a narrative of suspense and mystery that keeps us on the edge and wanting to discover more, plus it is set in World War II and how the Poles struggle to survive.

Absolutely an excellent story of action, drama and suspense, it tells us about Poland and the Second World War, the bravery of three brave young men who risk for their homeland, I can highlight how Polish citizens struggle to survive, in short a story that keeps you in suspense from beginning to end, Do not stop listening to it!!!

Out of Poland is not just a war novella; I saw it as a tribute to the invincible human spirit. Patriotism, loyalty, and personal sacrifice resonate from beginning to end. It’s a story of individuals forced into extraordinary circumstances, making life-and-death decisions for the greater good of their homeland and finally succeeding to get Baby - Germany’s Enigma machine to the allies.
A story full of action and suspense all the way.
The narration was great with perfect pace and accent. The narrator did an excellent job in changing voices between different characters which was well-maintained and easy to follow. I could really know the character involved in the scene just by the tone and accent of the narrator.

In conclusion, this audiobook is captivating. Definitely recommended for anyone interested in historical fiction, especially those who appreciate stories of resilience and heroism during one of the darkest periods in history - WWII.

A very well narrated, clear and precise story about the invasion of Poland in the years of 1939, where Ferdek, Wolfgang and Tavius three risky and brave boys risk to steal a device from the Germans and move it to the border, this feat made me kept me in suspense and a series of emotions while listening to it. Highly recommended for those who enjoy war stories and action!!!
