I did not learn of the cold-blooded assassination of several CIA agents, who were part of the team on our previous mission, Operation DFC, until it was too late. The unofficial mission is to take down the de Santos drug cartel and leave no survivors.

The men Spencer and I used to be died with the slaughter of our loved ones, leaving us nothing more than snarling beasts stalking prey, undetected, until it is too late for the cartel to plan a counterattack. Intense Thrills

Operation Seek and Destroy is the result of returning from a mission and having their loved ones slaughtered. The remaining team comes together again, to seek out and destroy those responsible for those deaths – the de Santos drug cartel and those responsible for their deadly secrets. Soon, the team’s secrets will be exposed and their path to surviving and healing will become even more complicated.

The authors, Janelle Taylor and Ashley Fontainne, are masterful storytellers who have a penchant for intense and suspense-filled action narratives. The blending of romance, historical facts, and suspense was well done. They were deliberate in fully creating authentic feeling characters in which listeners experience their pain and emotional growth through happiness, tragedy, love, and forgiveness. The plot twists were often unexpected and mouth-dropping. The super/unnatural twist was well handled and encouraged a strong connection to the characters. The ending was exciting and brought the story to a satisfying close.

The narrator, Randy McCarten, captured each character’s essence projecting their emotions accurately and engagingly. McCarten provided continuity with each character. Further, he kept the action moving forward with a steady cadence and well-timed pauses which heightened the action. McCarten’s talented voice kept the listener not only immersed in the storyline but engaged as well.

This engaging book makes listeners reconsider what they are being told and their beliefs. I highly recommend this book for its riveting and action-packed thrills, making it relevant in today’s context.

There were no issues with the quality or production of this audiobook.

Gripping

This action-packed, fast paced book kept me glued to the excellent narration by Rand McCarren. There are so many twists and turns.

Couldn't put it down!

Once again Ashley Fontaine and Janelle Taylor brought it! Strap in because this book is going to take you on a ride from start to finish. It is action packed, heart pounding, 'what else could possibly happen' and I just couldn't put it down.
I listened to the audiobook version of the book and Randy McCarten's ability to breathe life into each character's voice, actions and emotions makes the experience of this story so much better.
I highly recommend!

Intense

This was a compelling and gripping story. I did like and appreciate the justice meted out to the evil vile individuals. The dark memories and internal dialogue was crippling to hear. What a journey this was!!! From a nightmare to a day dream. I was happy that some people got what they deserved good and bad!! I liked that some damage from the past was finally healing. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest opinion. The narrator did an excellent job bringing the characters and story to life. A great hard story.
