If you liked the movie, you should love the book
I'd never heard of Jack Reacher before seeing the movie. Of course the book is even better. This edition is very well read as well. Jack Reacher is a man's man. I'm going to read more of these books.

Great Suspense from a Master
Would you listen to Jack Reacher: One Shot again? Why?
I tend not to relisten to a suspense novel where all the mystery and suspense is already known to me.
What did you like best about this story?
This was one of the best of Childs' books. A really good puzzle wrapped around good Jack Reacher action.
Have you listened to any of Dick Hill’s other performances before? How does this one compare?
I have listened to all of Dick Hill's Harry Bosch performances. He's my favorite reader, and he's great again here. I especially loved his portrayal of Cash, the ex-Marine. What a good character brought to life well.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
There were moments of laughter, but this wasn't a book for crying.

I could not wait to get in my car and listen to this book. Lee Child is a great suspense novelist, and he's at the top of his game here.

How does Lee Child keep doing this?
Jack grabs us by the cajones and doesn't let go from Chapter 1 to finish. One of the best.

This one was pretty good.
Much better than the last one. But I think I'm just burnt out on Jack right now. I felt that while this was a good book there was something more missing. I think I'll give myself a break and go read a few other things before the next one of Jack. Hopefully the break will make me appreciate him more. But I will definitely be back.

Reacher at least his best.
another well told story by Jack Reacher.
he seemed to be overly cocky in this book. he has seemed more humble in part episodes.
stills this tells it better than three movie. A 6 5 giant is much more impressive than a Tom Cuise

Intense & Amazing... as always w/ One suggestion...
I love the Jack Reacher series and One Shot did not disappoint! Dick Hill’s narration was, as always, amazing... His female voice(s) could use some work* but I’d listen to Mr. Hill read the phone book as Jack Reacher... so sexy!
*I blame Random House for not considering an actual female narrator to read the female characters. I’m sure Lee Child has made them a few bucks with the Reacher Series so they could afford it... I’m sure I’m not the only fan who would appreciate Jack’s female companions sounding a bit more ... feminine?!?

Voice thing
Story was great, performance was good for the male characters, however, rather annoying for female character, that was only complaint.

as allways I loved it.
Lee Child pulled it off again. Jack is one of my favorites this was my 2nd time listening its was just as exciting as the first.

Better than the Movie!
Thank you for not mention Tom Cruise as Jack Reacher. The book is much BETTER
