moral dilemma
I liked that Henry's moral compass kicked in when it was most needed. A compassionate and uplifting story. Sophie was a great catalyst for change. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review . The narrator was good.

a sweet holiday romance
On That Winter Day is Book 2 in the Seasons of Love series. This is a sweet holiday romance. Henry, needing a break from his life, travels to Switzerland where he meets Sophie, a tour guide. As Sophie shows Henry around her town and they spend time together, it's obvious there is a connection between them. But it takes going back to his life away from Sophie for Henry to realize just how much he left behind in Switzerland. I love Sophie's big heart and her wanting to help give back to her community.
Narrator Jesse Fister does a marvelous job.

Easy Listening Romance Novella
Henry, an attorney, is burning out at work; He is not proud of his legal wins when representing a cut throat insurance agent: Wins that come at an ethical and moral cost. He decides to take a leave of absence and travel to Switzerland. Sophie is a tour guide, arranging activities to showcase the local community, mountains, and culture. A sweet slow burn relationship tale follows.
This is a light and breezy story with an upbeat and fun story-line. Everyone secretly envies and loves a spontaneous overseas adventure especially when there is mountains, snow and beautiful scenery.The characters are easy to connect with and warm to and there is a worthy HEA to warm the readers' heart.
Overall my experience with this Novella and the very good narration by Jesse Fister was very positive but for me, though the underlying story was great, the delivery needed a little more emotional verve. I just wasn't totally 'feeling' what I was reading. Perhaps a skilled editor could have elevated the action and emotion to a higher level, allowing a greater degree of reader engagement in the shared journey and growth taken by Henry and Sophie.
