Well hello, buddy.
Old Time Hawkey, aka Fritz, starts every video by greeting his followers in his soothing voice. He is always there to offer a hot apple cider or an ice cream sundae on a tough day, to help his followers drift off to sleep with a story or a retro video game.
His first cookbook, Old Time Hawkey's Recipes from the Cedar Swamp, features 100 cozy recipes divided into four categories: indoor, companions, campfire, and drinks. Comforting recipes like Banana French Toast, Dutch Oven Nachos, and Pine Needle Tea are accompanied by recommendations for movies, games, and music.
Fritz is a storyteller by nature; he includes stories about his life in his Michigan cabin (with his dogs Donnybrook and Kris Draper), which reveal how the nature around him shapes his cooking. This audiobook takes you on an adventure through the forest, then helps you cook a comforting meal before drifting off to sleep.
Old Time Hawkey, aka Fritz, along with his loyal dog companions, Donnybrook & Kris Draper, began creating online content in May 2020. His videos highlight the simple joys in life around their small cabin; bonfire cooking, camping, or staying in for a night of retro video games. Fritz has built a loyal audience through his calming videos, which include elements such as "ASMR," direct eye contact, and a light-hearted spirit making it easy for audiences to engage with his content.

Listen to a cook book?
Definitely listen to a cook book. I never thought I could enjoy listening to a cook book but yet here I am. My nightly book listening has been H.G. Wells for the past few years. This will be the new replacement. Works for an amazing send off to sleep and has some of the most wholesome recipes you could ever need. The stories and wisdom sprinkled in balances the recipes quite nicely. I originally found old time hawkey on Tik Tok and his videos were always a nice break from some of the other chaotic videos. The moment I discovered he had an audio book I immediately went to audible and grabbed it. you will not be disappointed. I highly recommend getting this.
