hard core crime fiction

Detective Dick Moonlight has an uncanny ability to get himself into the most perilous positions rather it be with criminals or women. I enjoy his adventures and find myself reading or listening nonstop to find out what happens next. These stories are hard core crime fiction and graphic. I have not read all of the series or the books in order but don't feel I have missed anything.

I listened to the audible book and enjoyed the narrator. He had a good voice thus easy listening.

Murder and drugs – what a combination!

After reading or listening to 16 Dick Moonlight books and stories I thought I knew exactly what to expect when I started Notorious Moonlight. I have to say this book did have Moonlight engaged in a murder case, fat Elvis made an appearance, Detective Miller was involved and for a few minutes I thought Moonlight could keep his pants on. But not only was I wrong about Moon keeping his pants on, Mr. Zandri threw in a curve ball that hooked so hard left it almost broke my neck trying to keep up. I listened to the audiobook expertly narrated by Daniel Dorse, so when Vin threw that curveball, I had to go back and listen a second time to make sure I didn’t miss something. Nope I didn’t miss it the first or second time. If you are hoping I’m going to tell you what it was, sorry, no spoilers here. I will say Vin let it all hang out in Notorious Moonlight and as a result I believe I have now found my favorite Moonlight tale. Of course, I still have one more to read before I can say it’s for sure my favorite of both Moonlight series. If you enjoy hardboiled pulp stores this is a must read or do yourself a favor and let Daniel Dorse read this tale to you.
