Really enjoying this series! Love all the characters … great growth and you really get sucked in with what they are going through!! This authors together blow my mind with each of their series!!!

Hot hot hot!

4.5 stars. In a new location, with limited resources and unknown enemies lurking in the shadows, Layla, Novak, and Auric are left trying to figure out what their next move is, and what exactly the end game is. Overall, this book serves as a strengthening of the bonds between the triad, as well as learning more about the Noir, who they are, what they are, where they really originate. It also tests who can be trusted - old alliances, new alliances, betrayals, bombshells, and revelations. There’s a lot of action, both in and out of the sheets. The steam ramps up a good amount in this book. A solid story to move the overarching plot forward, with some more world building and plenty more ground to cover. The ending throws in a twist that I was literally squealing about, and could be so much fun for the next book, I can’t wait!

Simply epic

The talent that Lexi and Jennifer have is unmatched. They draw you into a tangled web of world building, emotions, and heat. Second Offense was no different. Stunning, both in words and performance. It utter brilliance. Can’t wait for more!

Trust me: read this series IN ORDER ...

꒰ঌ ໒꒱ Embarked on this one after re-binging the prequel and First Offense. I swear, the more I read from this pair, the more I love them.

꒰ঌ ໒꒱ Reading book 1, it dawned on me that this series very much depicts those in power keeping those not in power enslaved—and the lengths to which they’ll go to keep them oppressed and unaware of the amount of power they actually possess. So … not so different than the real world, just depicted with angels.

꒰ঌ ໒꒱ Absolutely epic, pulled off brilliantly. The reader knows more than some characters at any given moment, as we’re treated to multiple POVs, and it is FAST-paced and exhilarating. I am fairly certain I will re-binge this series every time a new book comes out and then … still repeatedly in completion once it’s over.

Sci-Fi meets Fantasy

This is a unique paranormal romance with great twists, smoldering character connections, and high speed suspense. It is narrated with voices that I could listen to all day, oops I sort of did and accomplished absolutely nothing. I can’t wait for more.

IM SORRY. WHAT JUST HAPPENED!? How am I supposed to wait for the next book! I am dying over here! So much action but drowning in adoration and trust! I was on the edge of my seat! This series does not disappoint! Dive in to the world of yummy angels again!

I’m so invested in this series and in Layla’s “fall” I couldn’t hit stop or pause the entire time!

The heroine: Layla - Her father is king of the Nora angels. She is a princess whose wings turned black and now she resides at Noir Reformatory. She has always wanted her guard Auric, and thought she couldn’t have him since she had to marry another royal from the dukedom. Though now that she shares a cell with Auric and Novak, she knows she wants them.

The Heroes: Auric and Novak - Auric is a Nora angel and has been a guard for Layla since she was young. He left for a while because he didn’t think he could watch her with any other man but returned when she became a Noir angel. Novak is a Noir angel, the baddest one in Noir Reformatory.

The story: Layla, Auric and Novak find out new things about the Noir and where they really came from, but they had a hard time believing it, since it went against everything they had ever been told. Sayair, the Reformer and Layla’s uncle had some new tricks as well, he kept testing the Noir by sending all kinds of paranormal beasts after them.

There was all kinds of action and adventure in this book as well as plenty of steamy scenes. Raven and her mates played a big part in this book, like in the last few. She and Layla became a bit closer in this one. I liked the fact that there were two groups of mates working together in this book. There was more action and adventure in this book than in the last two as well as a few reveals.

This audiobook was narrated in multiple points of view via duet narration. Cassandra Myles, Kale Williams, Lisa Zimmerman and Gregory Salinas did the narration. I liked all of these narrators, and it was done very well.

This series keeps getting better

I Love Novak…(insert twinkly eyes)
Ok, I don’t know how Ms Foss does her world building, but she just keeps blowing my mind! I love everything about this series fans and, of course, she left me wanting soooo much more!!! (Gimme, Gimme, Gimme)
She chose the most perfect narrators for this series, they make the book come to life in your ears. Each narrator does an individual voice, I don’t know if I have a favorite, which is fine. They’re all amazing.
I Highly suggest you start this series at the beginning or you won’t get the full effect

Great Narration and Story!!

Love the narrators, especially Kale Williams. The twists in the story are interesting and it’s fast paced!!
