Aburre al autor leer sus propias historias.

Me gustaría leer más libros escritos por Javier Marîas -es uno de los escritores más importantes de España- pero preferiría que fueran narrados por alguien diferente.

Es un lector aburrido, como si estuviera realizando una tarea desagradable. Los sonidos ambientales de la habitación son una distracción ... incluso se puede oír voces de otras personas débilmente en el fondo, como si estuviera grabando el libro en su apartamento. Las historias eran interesantes, inusuales, un poquito siniestras, pero la lectura hizo que todos parecían sosos.

A diferencia de lo esperado, hubiera preferido un narrador que con sus tonos y pausas cautivaran a quien escucha. Muchos sonidos agregados. Da la impresión de una grabación doméstica.
