Detailed amazing story

This was put together so well and filled with stories of life, death and persistence that comes from faith in God.
I loved how the author wove all the stories together to create this incredible book and timeline of events.
Very inspiring and makes me wish all of our young people looked at life and others the way Roddy did during his times of trial.

A story of heroism, selflessness, loyalty to fellow man, and faith. A story of a man’s search for his father’s courageous story during his service as an American infantryman in WWII. An inspiring story I cannot recommend highly enough.

Inspiration to live life well

I liked the way the story began with his daughter’s assignment and the way the author included remaining veterans after war stories.
In my opinion books like this from the wwii era should included in required reading of high school students. The hardships endured by men and women to serve this country are inspirational.
