Billy calls on her childhood friends, Reese and Yoshi, to stand with her on her special day. Several years have passed since they'd last come together, and unresolved issues have driven a wedge between the women. Nevertheless, they agree to put their differences aside for the sake of Billy's wedding. But the truce is a short one when Billy has to decide on a maid of honor. Just when things seem to be coming together, they quickly begin to fall apart. At a time when Billy is supposed to be basking in the sunshine of her approaching wedding, she finds herself the target of shade being thrown from the most unlikely places.

While Billy is going through her drama, Marcus is dealing with issues of his own. An old crime partner of his blows into town unexpectedly, and his presence threatens to destroy the legitimate life Marcus has worked so hard to build.

Even with the universe seemingly working against them, Billy and Marcus are determined to have their dream wedding. But first they have to survive the nightmare of planning it.

Gucci and Animal?

I'm tryna figure out where's Gucci and Animal. I've been listening to book after book and they haven't showed back up

This reader is not bad ,,,she's horrible..her reading takes away from the story line.
This is a wonderful writer,but it didn't hold my attention

Story was good narrator was horrible

The story was a typical Kwan book which I enjoyed. The narrator ducked. She needs lessons in pronunciation.

At least get the names right...

Getting names wrong is a No-No.. Especially when there are many other books and readings of the same cast of characters

Hard Listen

My husband and I both LOVE all of Kwan's books. We love how genius he is for tying everything together, we are working our way through them all. With that said, I'm currently on chapter 4 and I am having a very hard time staying in tune with the story because of the narrator. I usually listen to audible while doing house work or driving and I've found myself on several occasions into my thoughts instead of the story, then having to rewind and relisten. I am strongly considering returning this book and purchasing the paperback.

Love the Series

First of all, why did y’all let this woman call this man SHAY the entire book!????
Other than that, although I missed Cary Hite as narrator, the narration was fine. I have yet to be disappointed by K’Wan, but I was definitely expecting to be following up on Animal and Gucci more but that didn’t happen. Looking forward to the next hood rat novel!

Names wrong

The narrator got names wrong and she didn’t know how to pronounce some words. But as always I loved this book

Nice Story

I love how this brought the Hoodrat series full circle, finishing the stories of the characters that first appeared and new characters.
