Great Narrators

No Omega Needed by Jillian West is the third in the Ruined Records Series. This follows Baby Love McKinley, a Beta, and her two Alpha's, Isaac and Dexter. Love is a strong, smart, loving FMC. Love does add two more Alpha's to her pack. Both of them I loved immediately. Dexter I loved and not liked at the same time. Love has such a kind heart that she loves him unconditionally. Great story. Loved watching Dexter get himself figured out. Loved watching Love gather her pack. We do see Lyric and her guys, and Kitten and her guys. I loved watching it all come together. Great epilogues. Some TW to watch out for. No bullying.

Loved Love’s Story!

Like always, Jillian West created an amazing story! There’s sooo much stubbornness in this pack, but it all works towards becoming an amazing family! I look forward to more of her stories coming to audio in the future. The narrators did amazing jobs, though the southern was a little strong at times.

Book Review:

I was already a huge fan of Jillian’s earlier omegaverse offerings, and this third book in the Ruined Records series raised the bar even higher. We met the FMC in the duet that gave us Lyric’s HEA. In No Omega Needed, we get to watch the foibles surrounding Baby Love and her men, the rock stars, Dexter and Isaac, and the two security guards, Riggs and Walker,

This is a high-angst story. As a beta, Baby Love never feels like she is good enough, or will ever be enough to satisfy and keep the alphas who love her. She fears that they will eventually find their omega and leave her, so she constantly holds herself apart and denies the bonds her alphas offer her. She feels like a burden, even as she carries one of their babies. It hurt so much to read through her internal struggles. And, since it is told in multiple 1st person POVs, we see how it affects the men who love her, who want to show her how much they want her and only her forever. Plus, we get to see their undying love for Baby Love, straight from the horse’s mouth.

There is additional drama with Dexter, which we were expecting from events occurring in the duet. He doesn’t make the best choices, but he eventually pulls his head out of his a**. Love makes you do stupid things sometimes, especially when you are harboring issues from childhood trauma.

This baby is fast burn and scalding hot! Baby Love is a beta, so you won’t get any heat scenes, but that doesn’t mean she is lacking in a healthy s*x drive. She is full of pregnancy hormones that ramp up her already high appetite, and she has no problem with taking what she needs. She has four men more than willing to help her out. There are MF, MFM, group scenes, and eventual MM content.

This is not a standalone, as you need to have read The Ruined Records Duet before cracking into No Omega Needed. However, this one does end in a HEA for Baby Love and her men. I’ve loved the entire series and fallen in love with each character in the big family unit. I highly recommend that lovers of OV check out this contemporary offering to the genre.

Fabulous job by the narrator team to bring this story to life!! As always, Vanessa Moyen was phenomenal, Michael Gallagher’s sexy voice made the abundant spicy scenes NSFW, and I felt Drew Mehrtens rumbly, growly Issac deep in my core. They are a perfect fit for Jillian West’s omegaverse.

Highly recommended listen!

This book was so sweet, swoony, and full of all the cozy feels. For a book without an omega Jillian sprinkled in ALLLL THE SP*CE!!! In my opinion, this might be one of her spicest books!! 🥵

In a world where Omegas are worshiped its not always easy for Betas. Especially when the only way to legally form a pack is through an Omega. Which leaves Baby Love with all kinds of insecurities because of her designation. And since she's carrying a baby of two famous alpha rockstars Baby Love knows to keep her heart guarded the best she can. Which isn't easy when she has 4 alphas showering her in kisses and attention!

"I'll keep them for as long as I can."

Baby stole my heart right away. I loved watching Baby's character get the love she deserved. She was so gentle and sweet, but so fiesty when she needed to be!

The alphas:

Gah. I loved Isssac. This man was constantly reassuring Baby. Showering her with love. Making sure she felt heard. And he wasn't afraid to share her! 🥰

Jillian always does such an incredible job with her neurodivergent characters. And she really nailed it with Jude. I absolutely adored this gentle alpha!

"Daddy" Riggs! This man wasn't afraid to threaten a spanking! 🤣😉

Dexter's character took me a while to really understand and like. He was definitely alittle more rough around the edges. I was always thankful for his POVs because they really helped you understand what was going on with his side of things and why he did the things he did! I definitely grew to love him!

This is definitely my favorite Omegaverse I have ever read without an omega! I was reluctant at first! But Jillian has literally never done me wrong in the past!

Audio Review:

Vanessa Moyen was the perfect Baby! She brought out the playful side of Baby so well. And she nailed the Male characters voices so well!!! I can't wait to listen to more audiobooks narrated by her! I always LOVE to see Michael Gallagher's name in an audiobook! He's one of my favorite male narrators. And always delivers! He did such a great job on Dexter, Jude, and Vince's characters! There couldnt have been a better voice for Issac besides Drew Mehrtens. He's voice is so growly and deep!! Exactly how I pictured Issac's voice to sound!! All of these narrators really nailed this performance!!

LOVED SO MUCH ❤️

While I absolutely loved originally reading Love’s story, it had nothing on listening to it. When I tell you that these narrators brought this story to life, I mean it feels like they WERE these characters. I found myself thoroughly immersed in every word, and it made me feel like I was hearing the story for the first time. Definitely recommend this audiobook. An amazing addition to the Ruined Records universe 🫶🏼

Amazing!

Not only is this an incredible book, I mean come on…Jillian West never disappoints, but the narrators are fantastic. Anything from this author or these narrators is a must download for me!
