First Thought when Finished: I loved Lisette and Zach in Night Unbound by Dianne Duvall!

Story Thoughts: Going to admit that I love the romance part of Night Unbound. It was refreshing that words like love and support were early (for romance) to raise their hand in this story. It made me fall in love with the romance more than I expected too. As for the forwarding of the overall arc of the series. I felt this was a bit of filler novel but important filler. A lot happened but we only moved forward a bit. That being said, at no point was I bored during listening to the story. It was well worth the time.

Character Thoughts: Second admission: I liked Lisette in the previous books but I wasn't sure I could handle her as the lead in a full-length novel. I was wrong. In fact, it was a little frustrating when the story wasn't about her and Zach. I loved them together. Zach has always been swoon-worthy to me. He is one of those broken but healing characters I love to love. However, falling in love with them as a couple stunned but pleased me.

Not writing spoilers but why you can't skip this: Two very important pieces of information come out during this book. Also if we don't find a way to save Cliff I am going to cry (that isn't a spoiler as he is infected but I say this every book since Bastian).

This is a series that I will only listen to on audio. Kirsten + Dianne = great author/narrator pairing. Kirsten outdid herself this time--her numerous accents were dead on!

It feels like I have been away from the Immortal Guardian world for way too long. When Ms. Duvall announced that Night Unbound was going to be Zach’s book I was over the moon. I just love this Immortal with wings!! And that Lisette was going to be his lady love. Super excited.
Night Unbound did not disappoint me. Zach & Lisette are so perfect for each other. I love that Zach is always wanting to try something :) (you will have to read to understand). I am so glad that Zach got his own book. He really need to be excepted and find love after so many years of nothing.

There were so many heartbreaking tissue grabbing and happy joyful scenes in this book. Just a few that stood out were:
1) The scene with Cliff were heartbreaking I hope that they find a way to help him.
2) The scene with Amy: Oh gosh, poor Amy. Poor Marcus. Many tears
3) The scene with Aidan broke my heart.
4) Every scene with Zach & Lisette
I just loved this book. And as always I had the wonderful Kristin Potter read to me yet again. I just love how she is able to bring the characters to life for me. Kristin is so very talented at voices that it is really easy to tell who is who even before she reads who is speaking. I am very much looking forward to the next installment of the Immortal Guardian series.

What other book might you compare Night Unbound to and why?

This is the first series I have thoroughly enjoyed listening to about vampires, gifted ones, and the others.

Which scene was your favorite?

Well, besides the romantic scenes which are very well written, edgy, and quite funny at times...When Lissette came to Zach's aid even when it meant going against Seth and risking his wrath. Very much like a real family...

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Seth and all the other IG's took a stand against "Jared" (one of the others) that made Zach feel special and greatly loved and accepted. One can actually envision his open jaw expression and feel what he was feeling.

Any additional comments?

I would like for Ms. Duvall to write additional books in this series which tell the story of Seth and David and when they finally find love; Amy's baby (Adera's) story. The characters in these books are so vivid and lovable-you just wish for happy endings all around.

Another fantastic hit by Duvall. Can't wait for the next one Lover the way Duvall makes you love all of her characters

Loved it! This is my second time reading the whole Immortal Guardians series. Kirsten Potter does an amazing job narrating.

Sizzling hot addition to the immortal guardians!

Excellent storyline in Ms. Duvall's series of the immortal guardians who protect the innocent from evil. The narrator gives yet another excellent performance reeling you in from chapter one. Sexy, witty with all the twists and turn for another wild adventure with Duvall. Well done! She is on a roll, keep them coming!

loved it

I loved Zach and Lisette's story. It was fun to watch him slowly come out of his shell. I also liked that he was protective of Lisette, but wasn't domineering. He let her be her own butt-kicking self and was there for support if and when she wanted or needed it. I only have it at a 4 instead of a 5 because of some sadness in it that keeps me from completely relaxing as I'm reading it.

OMGOSH I love Zak ! I could listen to this over and over .. and I have .. my 2 favorite ones in this series is Zak and Roland , most of the others are pretty good but I judge a book by wanting to listen to it more then once .. there are also a couple I didn't purchase to me it's not worth a credit to listen to a 3 hour book .
Bottom line is even tho I love this series I don't like all the books in it .. but the ones I do are awesome to me.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would. You can listen to this book as a standalone but, I really feel like you need to start at the beginning to capture the depth of the characters. These immortal guardians are freaking amazing! There is action, intimacy and bond of family that is interwoven in every story. I would definitely recommend it

What other book might you compare Night Unbound to and why?

The only other books I would compare it to would be the other Immortal Guardian books.

Which scene was your favorite?

When Lizette was injured and Zac poured everything into her to the point of passing out over and over. The scene was moving and powerful to me.
