Hoping that this is only the start of something

A great listen with the potential to really create a grand narrative arc over many more books. The narrator’s execution of so many of these characters and moments is nothing short of spectacular and really elevates the experience, as an audiobook should.
The world Dr. Kirstein has created has so many rich layers and avenues to explore that I can’t help but feel he’s saving something truly special for later. As a result, my obligatory point of criticism on the piece would be that the run to the end can feel a little rushed in moments, but I was narratively engrossed throughout nonetheless, and often that quick pace can feel exhilarating.
A really excellent effort from all involved. Would highly recommend.

A window into 2096

I couldn’t put this book down, the detail of each scene felt like i was watching a movie filled with romance, gore, and suspense. Cant wait for the next book in what looks like a series!

Must Read Dystopian Thriller

What an awesome masterpiece written by Dr. Kirstein. Tons of descriptive, visual elements throughout the story. Imaginary, futuristic virtual reality allows characters to escape the dystopia and find new companionship. Almost like a safe haven for many of them. Fun read that is easy to read or listen to! Looking forward to more books in the future!

Wonderful and Hilarious Read

I love this book. Chapter 6 was by far my favorite chapter because it resonatd with my love for music. My favorite phrase which I have adopted in my everyday life is "Chubby Body Foolish Temperament." There were great moments of intensity but an equal amount of moments I was able to laugh and think deeply. I truly enjoyed New Haven. I felt like I was there.
