A collection of maxims that directed the military operations of the greatest captain of modern times cannot fail to prove of great use to such young officers as really desire a knowledge of the art of war.
The maxims are illustrated by instances drawn from the campaigns of Gustavus Adolphus, Turenne, Frederick, and Napoleon. These great men were all governed by the same principles, and it is by applying these principles to the perusal of their respective campaigns that every military man will recognize their wisdom and make such use of them hereafter as his own particular genius shall point out.

Its Napoleon Bonaparte enough said.
The great military mind Napoleon discusses Command and leadership a great listen. I would highly recommend this book to all military leaders and historians.

Better read than listened to
I LOVE the legend of Napoleon. I wanted to learn more about his military maxims and bought this book.
There’s a lot to chew off here and I think it’s easier to digest if you read it versus listen to it.
A printed list of all his maxims will inspire both civilian and military excellence.
To glory and excellence of Emperor Napoleon I, I salute him for instilling adventure, curiosity, and aiming for excellence. His story is one of the ages and should inspire people of all ages to shoot for maximum potential.
