Sex -- but it's the friendship that counts

A trip through Berlin’s sexual underworld, careening though ecstasy and places less pleasant. If you’re here for the sex, you’ve definitely come to the right place. But the real strength of this book is the characters, and the generous – but unsparing – look at expats/immigrants who are struggling to find themselves, struggling to survive in a familiar-but-foreign country, and ultimately trying to find a genuine connection, whether this takes the form of love, sex, or friendship. It doesn’t always turn out perfectly for them – but every minute spent with these characters is a pleasure.

The different voice actors used for the different characters' chapters gives each of the intertwining stories its own flavor, and makes the listener feel like they're getting to know each of the characters personally. A great read/listen!
