For me, it is the clearest distillation of Daniel Quinn’s ideas, read in a compelling way

another fantastic perspective

these books are some of the most important to who I am as a person. they have truly changed my worldview. at first for the negative but eventually for the positive. this is a book I think about everyday and when conversations get deep with someone I've often refrnaced these ideas. I'm amazed it isn't more popular. this one in particular only added another perspective to the story and an insightful one at that.

Thoughtful

A plethora of thoughts on the reasons to divest from these tamer systems and think anew.

Read Ishmael.

No matter if you are into Camus or Existentialism or the TaoTeChing, these all operate within the framework of what is wrong with the world. Quinn shows us how to get it all back and it is there for us to take.

Everyone needs to read these books. It is fundamental to the progress of our society that we learn it's messages.

A wonderful conclusion…

This book was a wonderful conclusion to the two previous titles. I really appreciated hearing yet another perspective of “The Message” that Ishmael was trying so hard to share.

Phenomenal story and meaning.

In one of my high school classes, my AP environment science teacher made the entire class read the first book in this series, and I can say confidently that I did not care for it much. But after choosing to read the sequel (this one) for an assignment in a different class, I can 100% say that this is the best book series I’ve ever come across. Between the meaning and philosophical implications with in, and the abrupt and unexpected story of the end, the book was a VERY excellent read and one that I would recommend to a lot of people. It is truly priceless.

This book was amazing. It gives you thought, allows you to enter and play around in it in a fun and digestible way. More people need to read this book because more people need to know these things. Great job!

My Ishmael

I'll miss you Ishmael, what a beautiful book series with such beautiful and tantalizing ideas. What if there was a better way? What if all we know isn't actually all we know?

Life changing

I started to listen to the series and I was amazed..So many new ideas, so much an interesting way of writing. Then this book took that to the next level.

The ideas in this book are complementary with the ideas discussed in Ishmael. But this book ads more context and a new level of depth.

Totally worth reading or listening to the audio book.
