Riveting!

Beautifully written and narrated! It broke my heart, but also deepened my own faith. Truly a masterpiece.

great historical piece...a definite must listen to a not so well story, based in occupied Germany. great attention to detail and wonderful narration.

Accurate & Beautifully Written

So beautifully written! Although it was historical fiction, it was about 75% accurate with just a bit of artistic license taken.

It really brought to life so many of the Bonhoeffer biographies written in the past.

The author took such care to be as accurate as possible and honor their relationship. She’s a wonderful writer and the narrator was just as amazing!

A beautifully told story of a desperate time! The question, what would my God have me do!! Makes me look at my faith and to what extent I could endure!

This is the first I’ve read by this author but very much look forward to more.

Well done, moving, sad, and inspiring

I didn’t think anyone would be able to pull such a novel off in such a realistic and delicate way. It’s inspiring to me as a Christian to know this side of Bonhoeffer’s story. I definitely recommend this along with Eric Metaxis’ Bonhoeffer book.

This true story was brought to life by the author and the narrator, I was so saddened when my 14 hours and 17 minutes of listening to this masterpiece was done. Thank you for this high quality audiobook!
