Great finale

I’ve grown accustomed to novels that cover the waterfront in one volume. I don’t want to have to purchase a second volume in order to see what happens to the characters in the first volume in this case, the wealthy young man who has infiltrated the police departments cold case unit to solve his own problem! So, much as I enjoy Hillary Green, I won’t be buying another book because I really don’t care what happens to the spy in their midst.

Complicated characters and good storyline.

I’ve read all of the Hillary books and can’t wait for the next. They keep getting better.

There are no down sides to this story!! I love the way Hillary handles herself. Just wish she would give herself some credit in the love dept...

Thrilling Who done it

I really liked the story line and the current day issues thrown in with an cold case murder. The characters develop nicely during the book and it is very good to listen to. The narration is lovely - sometimes maybe a little too nice for the actual content , however, an allround great listen.

Surprise endings(s)

Another great Hillary Greene mystery with some new CRT characters. A few good case and personal surprises at the end.

Consistently entertaining, smooth and predictable plot lines leading to reading that is relaxing and enjoyable!

Suspense on several levels

I love the new sub plots and surprises. Hillary remains the adept sleuth, but she now has two agile new characters bringing some depth and promising twists in the future as their characters are revealed.

Chirpy narrator is awful

Every word from this narrator is a cheerful little singsong that negates an intelligent detective going about her work.There is nothing particularly happy about the murder so why should it sound like a second grade teacher reading an oh-such-fun story: Drove me crazy and I just gave up at chapter nine. I generally enjoy Faith Martin (with other narrators) but this silly voice ruined the story.
