interesting history

too bad the only investigators are people like Project Veritas and Judicial Watch who fight the system like this lady did

pretty neat

not the best story but for a short it was alright I enjoyed it just not the best in the series

took off like a rocket

story was somewhat confusing at the start but took off like a rocket and was very compelling right down to the end

Great Story About Chicago Corruption!

Thanks Pam Z. for the many years of dedicated service ! Uncovering corruption in Chicago is more than a full-time job and a lifetime! I hope someone can investigate the sweep of murders holding Chicago hostage. The reports of gang warfare doesn't ring true. There's a bigger story. Unfortunately, the days of true investigative reporting are nearly gone.

Looking for short stories

I am new to Audiobooks and find short stories a great way to get into it. I enjoyed this one.

Ms. Courageous

This was a fascinating story of a courageous journalist and her brilliant idea to capture evidence of corruption business owners were facing in Chicago in the 70s. Along the way an interesting cast of characters aided the great experiment. It was wonderful to see the newspaper supporting their efforts. Creating a tavern was a novel idea. I was sorry to learn that they did not win a Pulitzer Prize for their efforts. Pam Zekman is part of a vanishing breed of investigative journalism. She is still fighting corruption in Chicago's city government. An entertaining and informative read. I read this book using immersion reading while listening to the audiobook. Great narration made the story come alive.

A little to short for a stand alone

This was the first book I listened to from the six story Exposure collection (free from Amazon prime). This was a solid read, but I wish there had been more detail regarding what they discovered as part of the tavern project.
