Matthew Corbett is getting annoying

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

While I am a big fan of this series - as the books move along the main character, Matthew Corbett, is becoming almost distractingly annoying. His arrogance mixed with brazen stupid choices one after another are starting to get in the way of my enjoyment of the story. With each edition the narrator's misguided hero-complex is irritating.

Which character – as performed by Edoardo Ballerini – was your favorite?

Edoardo Ballerni's performance in this entire series is one of the BEST parts of the listening experience. Wonderful voice, excellent characters. He really brings the book to life.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

This was my first time reading Robert McCammon, Mister Slaughter was great! I could not put my phone down. It held my curiosity to the end and as it went it developed.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Matthew Corbin he developed into more of a determined man, instead just a well to do person he became a true force.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Oh no I like a book that I can return to finish it took time.

I cannot wait until River of Souls, is in Audiobook format.

A Special Combination

Normally after listening to two books by the same author I get bored with their style. Not so with the Matthew Corbett series written by Robert McCammon and narrated by Edoardo Ballerini. The combination makes for exciting listening and great entertainment. This book continues Matthew's adventures while you watch him grow and mature as the series continues. Can't wait to go directly to book 4 of the series. Hope there are more to come.

Different from the Others

This Matthew Corbitt novel is different from the others in that it is less of a mystery and more of an action packed horror story. I did not like it as much as the other two. Its still really good though, and truly horrifying as well. The narrator was fabulous as always.

None stop action! Once the book was over, I couldn't wait to get the next!

Robert McCammon is an undiscovered treasure. If you have never read him before this is a treat.

I thoroughly enjoy Mr. McCammon’s writing style. and as Mr. Ballerini brings the characters & the flow of every story to life, I welcome the daily escape from my world into theirs.
