About the Performer

Thérèse Plummer is an actor, advocate, and award-winning audiobook narrator working in New York City. She has recorded over 450 audiobooks for various publishers. She won the 2020 Audie Award for her collaborative work on The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11 by Garrett M. Graff, garnering Audiobook of the Year! She won the 2019 Audie Award for her work on the multicast Sadie by Courtney Summers for Macmillan Audio, was nominated for the mutlicast Any Man by Amber Tamblyn for Harper Audio and her solo narration for The Rogue Planets Shaken by Lee W. Thérèse is the voice of Maya Hansen in the Marvel Graphic Motion Comic Ironman Extremis, Dr. Fennel in Pokemon and for various Yu-Gi-Oh characters. Television guest star roles on: Virgin River for Netflix, The Good Wife, Law & Order: SVU as well as voice-over for commercials and film. She lives on the East Coast with her dog Butter and cat Chucky.

Understanding my teenager

This book helped me to understand my 14 year old life changes. I never considered how much stress she has as a new high school student along with all the other concerns teenagers have.

Fabulous book for teens with teens with Anxiety

The author’s content and readers presentation will connect with teens and even many adults suffering from anxiety. A great toolbox offering clear explanations and easy to do Excercises that are very relatable to teens. As an RN with behavioral health experience, I found this book to be a very educational and enjoyable read. Parents of teens with anxiety will appreciate the authors ability to connect with and help your teen.

being a mindful teen

I think it is a wonderful way to connect with teens and help them understand there not alone. It also helps teens reground themselves in the current or work through anxieties. There anxieties are normal and wandering thoughts. How to be more mindful teen short read and good book! recommend for teens and adults. good book!

This was excellent for me over 60 years old.

Loved listening to this book and will listen and take notes next time. Read over and take notes because it is worth it.

Disappointing

thought it would aid an anxious teen based on title. Per teenager, Voice made me more anxious, and if I have to listen to more, just forget it!
