.Hi, my name is Vincent Connor, and I'm the author. I don't consider myself an author as such, as this is my first ever book. However, I found it immensely enjoyable writing this book, and I hope that you find as much pleasure in listening to it.
This book came to me in an almost blinding flash. The story, in verse, just seemed to appear in my head from nowhere, and I felt compelled to write it down. As I did so, more verses came to me, and before I knew it, I had over 30 verses typed up. I've tidied it up quite a bit since then, and added an intro, which has taken it to 41 verses. I could probably have added more but thought enough is enough.
As a result, there was no 'target market' as such, but I feel it will appeal to small children as well as preteens. Once you get into the rhythm of it, it can be listened to in about 15-20 minutes. It could also be listened to as a bedtime treat over a number of nights. I think you'll find that, as well as verse, this has a solid story line behind it and is narrated so as to make it interesting and appealing to adults as well as children, who will laugh together at the humorous parts. I'm planning more adventures for Michael, as he seems to come into his own when he's faced with a challenge. He leads me, and I just follow with my pen and pad in hand, capturing the moments for you to enjoy...
