Women who work in the world of dogs have a physically and emotionally demanding role, but one that most of us love and want to continue to do.
When I hit my mid forties that role became increasingly difficult and there was a surprisingly steep learning curve where I needed to gather a wealth of information about menopause, health and fitness. I took positive action to ensure I felt empowered, educated and above all happy and healthy so that I could continue to grow my business and give the dogs I love everything they deserve.
Without these changes to my health and lifestyle I truly believe it would have been
impossible for me to continue in this field of work. This book is packed with advice,
information, practical pointers and everything I have learnt on my own journey. I am
sharing it all with you, my fellow Dog Pros, so that you can make your life, and that of the dogs you care for the best is can possibly be.
A fully qualified Veterinary Nurse, City & Guilds 775 (with distinction) Dog Groomer and a graduate (with distinction) from the IMDT Dog Trainer. Karen currently runs a successful luxury day-care, holiday home boarding, grooming and training business. She is also co-founder of K9 On-line, providing video tutorials for dog owners and Dog Pros and, as a result of her own journey, a coach and a certified Menopause Practioner.
