Jack Garrett
Fast track up the political ladder, fast cars, fast women - that's Garrett McKettrick. Make that was. A city boy, Garrett doesn't think he has the land in his blood, but a scandal has brought him home to Blue River, Texas. Here he meets his former high school nemesis, Julie Remington. Good thing they have nothing in common... except their undeniable attraction and a future brighter than the Texas sun.

What did you love best about McKettricks of Texas: Garrett?
Garrett and Julie are such believable characters. Important life decisions have to be made by both characters. Garrett is definitely alpha but you see a vulnerable side to him, too. I love that he still fights with his brothers behind the barn and then has to go on national television with a shiner. Garrett also treats Julie's son with respect and wonder. What other book might you compare McKettricks of Texas: Garrett to and why?
Lisa Kleypas "Blue Eyed Devil" compares to "Garrett". Strong alpha males but vulnerable when it comes to their women. Hardy Cates tells Haven Travis as one point that he knew she might not love him or want to see him, but he was hoping it was ok for him to stay close in case she needed him. Garrett, upon getting injured, gripes and moans the whole time he was under observation because he wanted Julie to be in the same room with him-he knew she was in the waiting room. What does Jack Garrett bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
That smooth voice that identifies the characters through slight tonal differences. Nice.If you could rename McKettricks of Texas: Garrett, what would you call it?
In This Moment...?Any additional comments?
I love the McKettricks. I love it that they don't have to worry about money, yet they still work really hard at whatever they did and decide to do...Shu--WING!
