Vietnam, 1969. Tweede luitenant Waino Mellas is eenentwintig jaar en net aangekomen op Matterhorn: een Amerikaanse vesting diep in de Vietnamese jungle. ik had al veel goede dingen over het boek gehoord en toen ik het in het Nederlands gesproken zag, moest ik het kopen.
