Mary Rutherford dreads Christmas time. Having grown up in one of the most influential families in town, her Christmas holidays are spent attending her father’s company Christmas party and silently blending into the background. Brighten Smith recently moved back to his hometown to escape California and the disappointment of a failed relationship. How can you not cheer for a couple named Merry and Bright? It’s perfection from the beginning.
During winter break from school, I love to read cozy, feel good stories where everything gets wrapped up with a little bow. This story did all that and more.

This book is bloody adorable
I really liked this story. We meet Mary and we meet Brighton.
Short and sweet.
There’s no smut, but an adorable slow burning romance.
Great narration. Narrator does a great job of both male and female leads voices as well as secondary characters. Well worth taking the time to listen to this festive read.
