Miss Marple was first introduced to readers in a story Christie wrote for The Royal Magazine in 1927 and made her first appearance in a full-length novel in 1930’s The Murder at the Vicarage. It has been 45 years since Agatha Christie’s last Marple novel, Sleeping Murder, was published posthumously in 1976, and this collection of ingenious new stories by twelve Christie devotees will be a timely reminder why Jane Marple remains the most famous fictional female detective of all time.

Loved it

All the authors captured the voice of Miss Marple perfectly.

Agatha Christie would be proud.

Narrator was great too. There seemed to be a slight glitch in the editing where lines would be repeated. Still good though.

Editing failure

The story narrated by Celia Imrie has reading errors that have not been edited properly.

I am sure the authors tried hard

Yet to my opinion, they did not succeed. It's not Miss Marple as we know her - excluding a couple of stories that captured her well. I'd say not waste your credit.

A treat

For Marple fans this will be a absolute treat. The majority of the stories were good and managed to capture bits and pieces of the nuances of Agatha Christie's Miss Marple but adding a freshness to it that was so inviting. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
