Many Dimensions is one of Charles Williams’ most accessible and exciting novels. Along with C.S. Lewis and J.R.R. Tolkien, Williams was a member of the Inklings, a society of writers in Oxford, England who changed the world with their mythopoetic vision.

The Stone that was in the crown of King Solomon of the golden age of Jerusalem has been stolen from the guardians who had kept it safe in Persia for centuries. Let loose into the English countryside by a thoroughly despicable narcissistic "scientist", it creates havoc throughout the culture until Chief Justice Lord Arglay and his faithful secretary agree together to submit themselves to the Name within the Stone to restore it to the Unity.

Delightful, but with a mistake.

Mr. Pickering again gives us a very entertaining rendition of Mr. Williams’s novel, but I will note that there is a patch of text missing in Chapter 17. Perhaps there were two pages stuck together in the reading copy? It jumps from complete sentence to complete sentence, and so perhaps wasn’t all that obvious, but it made for a somewhat muddled transition, so I checked my copy. I hope this can be easily corrected.

Good enough

It is good enough to o keep and to listen to again in the future. I don't know what to make of Williams. However this is a good novel and the readers performance was solid.
