Yummy Quick Read

Another smoldering hot read, not just because she is a fire-starter!! This open is just as quick with the smexy lusty action as the first book. I am forgiving, because I understand the insta-connection the author is trying to establish. I generally like more build, but with the length of the story, I see the need for getting to the steam right away.

Cash is delicious and tortured. Those are the sort of Alpha men you just cannot wait to see fall for the right lady. Selene is his perfect match. She may play the tough girl but she goes all soft and squishy for her man. I love their banter, makes me wish there could have been more time spent in that stage of the relationship.

This book is a mixed narrative, giving the two leads POV and a couple bonus supporting character's perspective as well. It helps you get to the heart of the matter and draws you more into the story. I prefer this style because it enhances the world building and lets you know the leads on a more personal level. I adore getting into their heads and seeing both sides of the romance.

I listened to the audiobook narrated by Johanna Fairview, who does a great job with the read. She has a deeper raspy tone to her voice. It really works for the smexy scenes and the men's voices. She also added just the right touch of softness to the women's voices. When it comes to the energy of the smexy scenes, this narrator really gets into things! You can feel the action and tension of the moment in her enthusiastic narration! Really great pace as well, keeps things moving right along.

As I suspected the stories are all tied with the connecting thread of the curse. I expect that will not be resolved until the last brother gets his HEA. Definitely eager to know more about dishy Denn and a certain coven witch!
