Light and fun

Enjoyed it, tho not quite as much as her other books. It lacked the intensity of some of the others, which made it a nice easy read but also a bit less memorable.

Mhairi is my favorite

I’ve read every MM book and love them all. She has this unique ability to make you feel every possible emotion and finish the book with more food for thought than you could ever digest. So thoughtful, smart, and suspenseful. The narrator was good too.

Loved it!

I have loved all of her books. The perfect mix of a lighthearted read, while having depth to the characters and making you think about life. Sad for it to end.

Unique story

I really enjoyed this book. Great characters and plot. The chemistry is great between Harriet and Calvin.

Not much romance. Sad content.

I loved her previous books. This one was disappointing. The main character was hard to relate to. There was heavy focus throughout on negative experiences and difficult emotions. The romance was a small part, it felt rushed, and there was a lack of chemistry building. If the negative/positive content ratio were flipped, it would be more like her other books and way more pleasant to get through.

I love this. Like other books from Mhairi McFarlane, I love that this main story revolves around Harriet facing a larger issue in her life, and it forces her to heal herself and deal with many surrounding problems. All with the undercurrent of a blossoming romance. This author always has a way of making me laugh and cry in the same book! These really make me think about the way I see and tackle problems in my own life. Very well done! The voice actress did a great job too! Very quickly becoming one of my favorite authors.

Heartwarming and sweet

Loved this- and the underlying story here about her ex. Highly recommend. Heartwarming, sweet and inspiring.

Loved this book

I’m a huge Mhairi fan and her stories never disappoint. I was locked in from the initial chapter. What really resonated with me about this particular book was the character development that I felt aligns with our the development we see within ourselves as we grow as people through our life experiences. Definitely worth a credit.

Excellent novel, Mhairi is the best of this genre

I have tried listening to other authors to fill the time between Mhairi McFarlane novels, and it has only made it more apparent that she is the best! The characters and situations are fun, intriguing, and memorable. Thank you for sharing your writing with us!

Excellent story

Loved this. Been involved with an emotional abuser before and this book was an insightful perspective. Really happy I found this novel. Great read and performance as well!
