Nice Story

I actually really liked Cal And Lucy. I enjoyed watching them come together and build trust. I wished Cal was a bit more alpha. He was described as an alpha shark in business but didn't see that at all.

Overall I really enjoyed the story. I liked this one better than the first book in the series. I have a feeling I know who the 3rd book will be about if there is a 3rd book but I can't imagine what drama they would have to deal with.

The ending was kinda abrupt NOT a cliffhanger at all but not satisfying. I got the feeling that there was a HEA but I didn't get the words. I didn't get to see one day of what their "normal" was. An epilogue would have been nice to give us a snippet a few months or so down the line. Just something to give us that closure.

OH BOY THIS WAS GOOD.... REALLY REALLY GOOD

Cal's a successful Billionaire owning the Pleasures At Home sex toy Shopping Channel and other businesses but 2 years ago he was a very different person. He was an arrogant playboy and he didn't know love until she was running out the door after catching his sorry two-timing ass with his secretary. Since then he has had a chance to reflect, regret and grow up but he still yearns for his lost love.... Lucy. Lucy ran out on Cal and straight into the arms of another man..... unfortunately he turned out to be a bigamist and a physical and mental abuser (as told in book 1). Lucy's now separated and is desperate, she has a small baby to look after and is still being threatened by her abusive ex so she turns to the one man she never wanted to see again but the only man that can help her now.

When they meet the attraction's still there but Cal realises Lucy is coming from a very different place now because she's been so abused, traumatised and mentally/physically damaged that learning to trust him again isn't going to be easy and may even be impossible. He feels guilt, remorse and is sickened by all that Lucy has been through but he's going to give it everything he's got because he thinks she's worth it and so starts a very heartbreaking story of lost love and second chances.

There's drama supplied by the bitter ex and a jealous bystander who makes an already difficult and tense situation even more harrowing. Cal's a great hero, he's thoughtful, kind, very sympathetic as to just how to, and how not to, talk and treat Lucy and Lucy's been through Hell but doesn't know if she'll ever be able to trust, or be intimate with a man, again. If anyone can heal her scars it's going to be Cal..... as long as he doesn't break her heart again.

Dual POV's, great narrator who made all the anguish, heartache, suspense, thrills, hot sex, sweet romance and the two loveable damaged main characters all come to life.

Worth a credit? This is turning out to be a great series, each book could be a standalone listen and yes, IMHO, very creditworthy.

A great second chance story. The hero had a tall mountain to climb ... To deserve another shot with the heroine.

I loved every minute of this book!

Great listening! I have known about Lucy and Cal in the previous book, Rush which I loved but this story is as good or even better! Lucy and Cal have great chemistry between them and Poppy is an amazing baby! Love scenes are very hot and there is also some suspense and action. I would love to read about Lucas's sister and the new director of Pleasures at home! Highly enjoyable!

This better than the first

What did you love best about Lush?

Cal love for this broke woman. I have to say I could tell at the end of the second book he was a good person. I have to admit he messed up a few times but what she went through made me cry and hurt for her. The way he helps her heal was so loving. I also love how they were together with there daughter. I enjoyed this one more than the first book and hope there will be third.
