Great narration, but story felt lacking
I enjoyed the actual telling of the story, and think this is best as an audiobook. The narration was great. But I wanted more from the story, it felt too short/compact and ended abruptly. The epilogue was a little disappointing as I was hoping to hear updates about the other family members.

Painful
It was a painful listen that reminded me of my brother in-law we lost years ago now before he could meet his nephews. The story was heartbreaking and emotional. I prefer more lighthearted things, but real life doesn't always provide comic relief.

Heartbreaking lost
Following the main character though this lost love story took me though the excitement of a new romance into the harsh reality of a hidden addict s selfish manipulation. I found myself hitting my forehead and thinking no no don't fall for it buddy. To the arthor : Thank you for sharing your experience and I'm sorry for your lost of what was and what could have been.

So sad
A heartbreaking summary of the authors relationship with a woman experiencing addiction.
The audio is very well done and if this topic is of interest, I recommend listening.
