Wonderful Family History

Would you consider the audio edition of Louisiana Wind to be better than the print version?

Definitely, the mood and tone were very realistic

What did you like best about this story?

These all seemed like real tales. Read more like a memoir of a great man, not a novel.

What about Tom Lennon’s performance did you like?

I can imagine this is actually what they sounded like. Slow and laid back as befitting the time and local.

Any additional comments?

Great little book as a follow up to Three Winds Blowing and even 12 Years a Slave.

Louisiana Wind

A good short western. This story was good to listen to. And Tom Lennon did a good job narrating this book

Good short historical story

Whew, what I must poit out right away is for those that listen to the audible version of this book Tom Lennon the narrator does a really good job. He has the perfect campfire tone for telling a story. The kind that holds your attention and if you're not careful it could also put you to sleep. Ha, hopefully Tom doesn't see that as a bad thing because it's not. It's that low, steady cadence that does the trick of relaxing your mind and making you focus while trying to put you to sleep at the same time.

History is a topic that I enjoy reading about and Louisiana Wind is a great historical that's short enough to get in all the little details, kept me interested and encouraging to see what the other stories are all about.

Amazing Story

Well written and good character development. Narration by Tom Lennon was good. This story is recommended

The narrator was very entertaining , even laughed out loud.. recommend this book to all ages.

Little known part of US History.

Where does Louisiana Wind rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

Pretty high. Lot's of interesting topics in such a short book. The period shortly after the Civil War is not something I have read about before.

What other book might you compare Louisiana Wind to and why?

Three Winds Blowing. This is a continuation of the family history.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Not really. Each chapter is a little complete story so you can stop after each if you want.

Good little book. I thought the narrator did a pretty good job of sounding authentic to the time and place.

Joining a cattle drive!

A rewarding, compassionate, and enjoyable recollection of the cowboy’s life on the trail. This is a fine short story of historical non-fiction written by a modern-day cowboy. Tom Lenon provided an authentic performance that added to the times’ atmosphere. It was an enjoyable short listen.

Yes, I have listened twice already. It is a great book and the narrator has that kind of voice that makes him a great story teller.

What other book might you compare Louisiana Wind to and why?

The other Louisiana books by the same author. Same style of writing.

Which scene was your favorite?

The telling of the mom who set out the money, whiskey and Bible to determine her son's fate. She decided he would be a politician.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Many times I laughed out loud.

A Highly Fulfilling Listen!

I’m from Louisiana so it was delightful to hear some familiar locations discussed. I was intrigued with this story from another time period. Great details! Author did a great job with the layout of everything. Narrator made it easy on the ears and compelled me to listen closely to not miss anything. Very enjoyable indeed!
