Ancient cultures around the world spoke of a vast cycle of time with alternating dark and golden ages; Plato called it the Great Year. Everything I hoped it would be, and more!

I’ve been sitting on this book, waiting for the right time to begin. After re-reading The Yugas by Joseph Selbie, I felt I was ready.

Although the bulk of the ideas we’re already known to me, the depth and breadth of the work was far greater than I expected. I was thoroughly impressed by Cruttenden’s ability to bridge the gap between science and metaphysics, between our age and the ancients’.

I highly recommend this amazing book to anyone with an open mind and a hopeful heart. The concept of cyclical time is far more encouraging for our species than the outdated, linear model.

Shockingly well supported

Lines up well with new discoveries that push the calendar back to a sophisticated high civilization during the last ice age, that was likely ancient even then. Also fits with new models of our velocity and motion through space. Old and new sciences meet often these days, and tell a convincing tale in many texts, among which this has earned it’s place. Very compelling.

Walter Cruttenden's Lost Star of Myth and Time explores the profoundly important subject of the precession of the equinoxes, which is encoded in ancient myth from Egypt to Scandinavia to China, and which is encoded into the dimensions and relative locations of ancient megalithic monuments and pyramids. Not satisfied with simply accepting the conventional theory for the cause of precession on the authority of "the consensus," Walter dares to question whether or not there could be another explanation for the evidence that we have found thus far. A groundbreaking book and one that everyone interested in the question of humanity's ancient history (and earth's ancient history) should own and absorb. Hearing the words of the book read aloud brings a new perspective and impresses the details of this fascinating subject in an entirely different and memorable way -- highly recommended!

We are witnesses to the re-emergence & reawakening of long dormant science

It has taken me many years of interest in the science of archaeoastronomy, the Vedic Scriptures and the ideas expressed in Hamlet’s Mill to grasp even a bit of the information and hypotheses presented here. A brilliant and masterly effort. I will be listening to and referencing it for years to come.

Ancient wisdom validated but still ignored

The order of presentation and structure of this story is powerful. I’m a student of the ancients left awestruck by the wisdom and level of effort our ancestors invested in leaving an undeniable record for later, fallen generations to consider. Stone monuments around the world and a light shaft at Giza that points to a partner star.. these are the records of our achievements and must not be written off. Modern science is observing the gravitational forces explained by a duel star relationship in countless examples as outlined in this book. And we still hold flawed theories dear.

Questions left unaddressed are these: 1) how did we mark and measure the knowledge itself, then build observatories on this scale, and 2) why are we so dedicated to deny connections between our past golden ages and our reality today?

Recovering lost knowledge and understanding should be a priority.

While I had to listen to chapters focused on the mathmatics involved more than once, you’ll be rewarded by a fast paced delivery of a side by side comparison of competing theories. Given so many corroborating “mythical” stories and hard references compiled by the author i found myself asking why are we so dedicated to deny the idea our ancestors were precisely tracking the passing of the ages in our great procession. What are we really afraid of?

Mr. Cruttenden’s writing style is gripping; he presents a story that is as fascinating as it is logical. Weaving subjects of science, mythology and religion, he reveals how ancient cultures possessed knowledge that still baffles the sharpest minds of today.

Lost Star of Myth and Time presents a compelling case – that the rise and fall of civilizations (as well as of human consciousness) follow a cycle of time that can be linked with the precession of the equinox. The hypotheses presented in Cruttenden’s work are not just persuasive, but plausible.

This is not a book to casually listen to from beginning to end; by taking time to visualize the concepts presented, such as the “binary star theory”, or how several of the world's monolithic structure have deeper significance than commonly known, I received more than my money's worth in enlightenment.

I would highly recommend Lost Star to anyone who wants to explore the mysteries that enshroud history, or to anyone who has a desire to shed light on the potentials of humanity in the centuries to come.
