Would you consider the audio edition of Lost Cause to be better than the print version?

I would enjoy either copy, but prefer the audio edition because I love being able to listen to my books while I do other activities around the house. Also, the narrator did such a wonderful job portraying all the characters, it made listening to the book that much more of a pleasure.

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

I thought Daisy was hilarious, and she kept me wondering what madcap reply would break free from her lips next. I'll admit I didn't expect things to turn out the way they did in the end when I first started reading this book, but I enjoyed the journey just the same.

Which scene was your favorite?

I really loved the duologue between Daisy and Solomon throughout this novel...I found the different slang and quips made by each (and toward each other) so amusing all through the book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I got a little choked up every time Solomon mentioned how much Paul cared about Daisy, or during any cut-scene where Paul was expressing his concern for Daisy's safety. I suppose I can be a bit mushy when it comes to matters of the heart.

Any additional comments?

There was never a dull moment with Daisy at the wheel...she's definitely enigmatic, to say the least, and I look forward to reading more books in this series to see how she grows and develops from this point on.

I like that I can listen were ever I go. i love the readers accent.

Twists and turns

Funny. Flirty.

What an enjoyable read/listen! Great characters. Funny. Flirty. Faithful. Grumpy. Mysterious. Even violent. A cozy mystery you won't want to put down. A sassy, flirty Daisy who is faithful to her husband. An attractive grumpy PI, Soloman. Love their banter.
I was gifted an Audible version of this book from the author through Story Origin. The narrator presents this book wonderfully. A British accent easily understood. Told with emotion. Even her male voices work for me. 5 stars for her as well.

Fun amatuer mystery

The audiobook narrator was a perfect fit for this story. I enjoyed the cosy mystery/amateur detective/light and fun feel. It was refreshing to read a story that focussed on the mystery and didn't get complicated by a romance thread. I kept expecting it to turn romantic, which would have disappointed me as the heroine claimed to be happily married. Thankfully, she remained happily married to the end, though got herself caught up in all manner of problems on the way.

I did not want to love Daisy.

Sadly, by the third chapter, that became impossible. Finally a heroine who does not spend all the time agonizing. And fuuny! DO NOT READ OR LISTEN TO THE FINAL CHAPTERS WHILE DRINKING., your clothing might get wet.
I snorted out loud several times. Light checky book. As soon as I finish this review I'm getting the next one.

I really enjoyed this story. The narrator was very good, full of emotion and kept the story entertaining. I laughed out loud numerous times. I liked all the main characters and Daisy's son was wonderfully written, very believable. The story flowed well and all was tied together well.

I enjoyed this story so much. I always love a great mystery, and this was a good one. The characters are fun and entertaining, and the storyline was really interesting. I got pulled in and couldn't put it down.The sass and banter was awesome, and it had lots of great laughs. You're going to love it. Happy listening.

Maybe the Stephanie Plum series..It is a fun read with wonderful cast of characters and Daisy does not like to do what she is told gets her into some trouble spots

There were so many but what made me laugh out loud the most was toward the end when daisy was trying to save the day - it was dark - and shots fired and things ..thown

Finding out the connection between the two best mates

I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to the next in the series! I liked the narrator for this as well although I did not particularly like the voice she did for PHAT Kitty. I did buy the next in the series only I may not have time to read it. I am hoping the audio version comes out very soon. I am hooked to this new series. I was not sure I was going to like it at first but it pulled me in quick and I finished it within two days - if life hadn't gotten in the way I would have finished sooner :). Please keep this series going I am looking forward to Daisy and her world and what trouble she finds herself in.

AWESOME

This is an incredibly interesting and entertaining mystery. Daisy is smart, capable and determined to become an heir hunter. Her husband hopes his best friend will dissuade her of this new occupation. I was really surprised that I liked this book. I was drawn into it immediately. The witty dialogue and engaging plot kept me listening. I listened for an entire day of housework and running errands and never got bored. I can't wait to start on the next one.

An interesting read full of mystery and humor

I received this audio for the return of a honest review.

At first, it was difficult to 'get into the book' as it seemed to drag on in the beginning. Then as soon as Crazy Daisy and Sexy Solomon started to develop their weird, chemistry-fueled relationship, I was invested in its ending.

I love the storyline, the characters, the mystery and intrigue. What gives this book its extra 'kick' is the wonderful relationship between Daisy and her husband Paul. They do, indeed, have a sexy sex life. Daisy's quirks and mishaps add humor to the story, thus giving readers something to look forward to. Daisy makes you root for her as her need and desire to be a great investigator, her antics and near-miss escapades only adds to the book's overall, wonderfully written book by JL Simpson.

I highly recommend this book to anyone looking for a mystery, combined with humor, danger, and a little bit of sexual heat thrown in for good measure.

Sometimes it was rather difficult to understand Mary Phillip's voice, as she is British, and I am an American. When Daisy was talking to the female character/singer, I found it very hard to understand exactly what was being said. Other than that, Mary did a fantastic job narrating this story.
