Emmie Marie has a vivid imagination and loves to pretend. Her imagination creates many fun moments, and she wants to share them with other children.
In chapter four, she meets a hummingbird she names Hermie, who is different from all the other hummingbirds. She teaches him it is okay to be different. On their adventure throughout the neighborhood, they meet a little boy who is crying, so they decide to stop and comfort him.
I think you will find the words to be fun to say and learn. I believe it is important to learn different words, even if they are a little hard to pronounce at first. You can try and guess their meaning, then check at the end of the book for the definitions. Have fun using these words with your friends.
