In Jean Shinoda Bolen’s bestselling, game-changing Goddesses in Everywoman, myths came to life in a whole new way that resonated with our own lives. Even fictional character Bridget Jones was reading that book. Now comes Artemis: The Indomitable Spirit in Everywoman, a groundbreaking new audiobook that explores the archetype of the activist. Indomitable means untamed, unsubdued. It is the one-in-herself quality in girls and women who will not be victims, no matter what.

Historia
Physician and Jungian analyst Jean Shinoda Bolen takes us to the horizon of our understanding about the special wisdom that comes to women after menopause in The Wise-Woman Archetype. Join the best-selling author of Goddesses in Everywoman as she plows ancient ground to uncover the roots of the sacred wise woman/crone archetype. Early societies, Bolen teaches, looked at menopause as a "withholding of the blood", not to make a child, as in youth, but to make wisdom.

Western folklore and mythology are rife with brilliantly creative, fulfilled, feisty, and furious role models for aging women, despite our culture's focus on youthfulness. In her exciting new book, mythologist and psychologist Sharon Blackie explores these archetypes, presenting them in a way sure to appeal to contemporary women. Drawing inspiration from these examples, women can reclaim midlife as a liberating, alchemical moment rich with possibility and their elder years as a path to dynamic power.

The Hopi Survival Kit is the first full revelation of traditional Hopi prophecy. Many of its predictions have already been realized, but the most shattering apocalyptic events are still to occur. And though this may be a sobering realization, it is also our best defense.

The content of this book is worthy, timely, precious. But it needed a professional narrator, so much. Whether that "should" have mattered or not, it did.
