So well written and researched!

This book used virtual voice, but the storyline being brilliant and taut, the voice being particularly good and the court procedural nature of the novel made it work! I typically hate virtual voice, but could not put this one down because the affect on the voice was better than usual, but flat enough to make you think you're watching old Law & Order!

Virtual voice is so annoying

I liked the story line though the ending with the defense was a little far fetched. This is the second book I’ve listened to using virtual voice. It’s so hard to listen to. Words are mispronounced or inflection is not right. When the main characters last name is constantly being mispronounced, you know it’s bad! I will not listen to another book using virtual voices.

Intriguing theory

Not a good picture of the legal system, but an intriguing theory of the crime.

Machine voice

Poor differentiation of voices among the various characters. Poor quality compared to a human voice actor.

AI mistakes

the story was interesting and well written. I was disappointed in the AI reading. there was so many misspoke words.

Twists and turns

This story was super interesting. I was listening on double speed towards the end just dying to know if Erin would be found not guilty!
And the auto generated narration was very good!

It was hard to put the book down. It’s been awhile since I read such a captivating story.

Surprises that make want to dig further

Well written, introduction of a little known topic, believable characters. I hated to see it end.

The narration

I hated the computer narrating the story,  completely monotone, with zero feeling, and just couldn’t get engaged.

That the AI reading was terrible

The story was good, but the AI reading was just awful. I wish it could’ve been a real person would’ve been a much better book.
