Superb. Author and narrator. I cherish all of Fr James Martin’s book. Learning to Pray has inspired me to try Lectio Divina. I think the Examen is wonderful. I will also choose to explore other books which he recommended. I appreciate his great ability to narrate which makes listening extra special.

BRILLIANT

Due to my Sr years & vision impairment, the audible was my choice. Father reads it himself with great clarity, sincerity & passion. This is the perfect answer for those who insist there is only one way to have a relationship with God. There are many roads and Fr James Martin, SJ shows us all the options. My only regret about this publication in my life is that it wasn’t available to me 30 years ago. This would be a lovely Valentine’s gift for a friend, spouse, child or grandchild. If they don’t read it immediately, it will be a weapon on their bookshelf for when the Holy Spirit is working. Time to listen again; was awesome. Learning how to pray makes me want to pray more

What can I say about this book; Fr Martin really knows how to tell it, listening to him narrate giving context to this book really leaves me with wanting to pray more and answers so many question I or any person has about prayer which lets face it can be daunting at time. I am so grateful full for his narration and the book and I recommend this book to anyone who wants to Learn how to pray” Peace be to you all and I hope you all enjoy this book as much as I have.

A classic for the faithful and curious

Father Jim is an audiobook veteran and even more so an empathetic, thoughtful, and skilled spiritual writer. He and I are both from the Catholic faith tradition but hope this book can help all those who are either curious about entering into a deeper relationship with God or are already serious and need a tune-up.
