not very level appropriate, slightly annoying

the vocabulary is difficult but only the easy words are defined in the dialogues. the grammar lesson content is beginner, but all the lessons are in spanish only! the gringa is very annoying and tries too hard. some of the native speakers dont anounciate, even if u slow down to half speed, hard to understand. this audiobook tries too hard to be cool. also too much repetition to fill up space and make it look longer. i can always replay the audio if i need to!

Weird voice .

The one lady with the weird voice was really annoying .
I liked the rest of the series and the volumes

Gringo espanol

It is possible that there is good material in these lessons, but I found the appalling accent of the leading lady was a real turn off...literally.

The accent was a very flat American. It sounded like someone who wanted to impress more with speed and street Spanish than someone who would like to converse with natives and show them respect by treating their language with respect.

The other part that grated on my ears was the giggling in the background while talking with another member of the cast about something not important to the lessons.

Do not waste money on this audiobook.

What would have made Learn Spanish - Level 8: Upper Intermediate Spanish, Volume 1: Lessons 1-25 better?

All native speakers of any language talk fast but also have different rates. Even given the ability to listen at 3/4 speed is not a great help here because conversations use large amounts of odd slang expressions. It was a waste of time for me. I bought this to refresh my spanish but would not recommend.

What could Innovative Language Learning have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

GEt another series with professionals writing the matereial.

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Be more concerned with her listeners and less with her dramatic flair.
