Witty

I truly enjoyed this book. Sidney was my favorite. He wS melancholy but funny. The narrator brought him to life for me. Juliana on the other hand tore my nerves up. So childish and petty. I hated that she refused to accept her part in what s had wrought by not asking questions. All in all it was a great story. Looking forward to the next book in the series.

Good but…

I’m a new to this series but in this book in particular my annoyance of how long it took for them to share the truth made me want to stop listening. Whereas the other books had other elements that brought suspense and they paced well with revelations. Juliana started to become a little annoying.

Wonderful

This story of the series was so sweet and sexy. I love their love story from the beginning and how they found each other again years later.

Main female character

The main female character came across as very childish in the story, whereas the male character came across as having a mature character.

Not quick witted characters

this audiobook was not up to par with the others in this collection; In addition Ms. Chases’ narration was most irritating with her mono-tone soft whispers. Mr. Lane was excellent as usual (the only reason I continued to listen) book was not worth the one credit!

Hard to Finish

The main character was very difficult to like. A lot of the conversations were why are you mad at me, you know why. I just liked her immensely, and I had to do some reflection to make sure that I wasn't being misogynistic. But no! Instead of using her words like an adult, she runs. She blames the male main character for everything! Leave me alone! I am mad at you because you left me alone... type of things!

Shelbourne's cursing was a lot, and I love a good sailor mouth. I very much enjoyed the first three books of the series and disappointed in the fourth.

Good but lots of anger & hurt

My first book by this author. Agree with other reviews that female was kind of tedious in her anger & distrust after jumping to conclusions. Male also had some of this. Could guess what the female misunderstood, just not which of one of the 2 females. This went on WAY TOO LONG. Almost quit half way through the book as only the last hour was pleasant and very sweet. Lessons learned: 1) check out your assumptions. 2) Quit while you are ahead. Other reviews said the other 3 books in the series are better so now I have to decide if I am going to take a chance.
