Luna est un jeune elfe argenté qui a grandi au sein d'une meute de loups. Lorsque des guerrières drows déciment sa famille adoptive, elle se réfugie chez son mentor, le Marécageux, qui lui révèle les circonstances de sa naissance. Dans le but de retrouver sa mère, Luna entame un long périple qui la mènera à Rhasgarrok, la cité souterraine des elfes noirs.
La jeune fille éprouve une grande répulsion en découvrant le marché aux esclaves, les ruelles sordides et les créatures maléfiques qui peuplent la cité drow. C'est pourtant au plus profond de Rhasgarrok qu'elle retrouvera sa véritable famille. C'est aussi au cours de ce voyage qu'elle fera la rencontre de Darkhan, un elfe noir en mission.
Tout oppose Luna à ce farouche guerrier; pourtant, leurs destins vont bientôt s'entremêler. Pour le meilleur et pour le pire....
