Wir haben das Jahr 2032: Jacko Brevic nähert sich dem 70. Lebensjahr und bereitet sich vor, durch einen Selbstversuch der Unsterblichkeit nahezukommen. Denn in seinem fortgeschrittenen Alter hat er noch lange nicht genug vom Leben. Doch dann konfrontiert seine ungewollt schwangere Enkelin ihn mit seiner nie verdauten Vergangenheit: der Adoptionsfreigabe ihres Vaters. In der Folge kommt ein folgenreicher Betrug seines ehemaligen Freundes ans Licht, der außer Jacko auch die gesamte Gesellschaft der Schweiz in ein Dilemma stürzt.
Die Zukunft, ist nicht ganz so fern, wie es scheint. Man kann sich durchaus fragen, wie realistisch es ist, dass sich die Menschheit und Wissenschaft bis dahin ähnlich entwickeln, wie es in dem Roman beschrieben wird. Stefan Prebils spannender Roman wirft viele Fragen auf, so fragt er etwa wie weit Menschen gehen würden, um selbst unsterblich zu werden oder hinterfragt die Folgen einer unsterblichen Bevölkerung. Abgesehen von den nachdenklich stimmenden Themen liefert die Handlung jedoch vor allem eines: anregenden Lesespaß für SciFi-Fans!
