Excellent Contemporary Intrigue

A fun literary ride from start to finish (very satisfying finish, I might add). Expertly narrated and written as if the author has spent time in or around these circles and seen what powerful people are capable of when they think no one will hold them accountable.

Awesome Book.

Chad did an amazing job narrating this book. Mathew definitely kept you engaged throughout

Interesting story

Is it sad to say that given the state of our current politics this story is completely believable? There is always a choice to right the wrongs that we have done, but is there always enough time? The only criticism I have a of this book is that it was not long enough.

great storyline, great characters

although I loved the diversity of the 3 main characters from childhood to adulthood and their life paths, my favorite had to be Brad!! overall a genuinely likeable guy. kind of a man's man with real life experiences. I do see him living in a more rural setting similar to John, yet a bit less modest. Brad seems to be someone I would love to sit down with over a cup of coffee and talk about food, wine and general life advice he could offer on how to become a better person. I especially give Brad 5 stars in this one.

Great Listen

I follow this writer on TikTok. He mentioned the book in a post. I enjoy his content and even though nothing about this story really appealed to me I thought I’d give it a try. It was great. I love how the story progressed. I usually can figure out what is going happen but I didn’t see the way this played out. I would love to see have a part 2.

Karma.

In today’s world karma & justice don’t always happen as it should, & it’s also refreshing to see people leave a place better, more secure than how they found it, without exploiting the locals. Turns out I camped in this exact location March 2020 until the Covid travel ban forced me home, it a beautiful place.😊

Great story.

This was a great story with what felt like a mix of fiction and what could be a touch of reality.
I found myself wanting it to be longer with more details and the subplots filled in more. Still a fantastic listen and would recommend it 100%.

The flow of the story.

A well written story. A must read. I was wanting more. If you love audio books this is for you. It's a story of wealth, honor and pride.

Good idea, struggled with the writing

The idea is great, the writing left nothing to the imagination. Do I need to know he checked the flight plan? No. Do I need to hear 15 times the meat went to the locals? No. Susan was a waste of time and the whole exchange on their date was like I reading his diary, unnecessary. I wish there was more development of the tribal storyline and the interactions between the government and tribes… which could have replaced all the dead dialogue.
